There's an old railway bridge not far from where I live. It's near a quiet part of the river , nobody is ever around there especially not at night. Drowning has always been the method I thought I'd go with purely out of convenience but Co is my preferred method. I know the majority of people on here advise against drowning but in my head it just takes one jump and then that's it , no turning back . It's so peaceful there ,I think that's why I'm drawn to it and almost obsessing over it but I know I should wait and plan for the Co method. I'm not an impulsive person I think I'm just getting really tired now and I want to go .

Since you're not impulsive, maybe you can do something non-impulsive to work through it. Like imagining (visualizing, journaling) the method you're considering, both how you want it to work out, as well as anything that might come up that would cause failure, wanting to back out, suffering, etc.

I know how you're feeling. I've got everything planned out for next week, yet I have moments where I've just been wanting to go ahead with it sooner. I feel like I'm going to regret waiting; like if I don't act on it while I'm in an emotional state the way I have been, that I won't be able to go through with it. It's incredibly frustrating.

However, given that jumping/drowning can lead to serious consequences to your wellbeing should it not kill you, I can only ask that you please reconsider. CO is a very peaceful and painless method if done correctly, and I feel that it is absolutely worth the wait for ctbing. While the choice is ultimately up to you, I at least hope you'll give it some more thought.

Peace be with you, no matter what you decide to do.

Yes, I'd wait a bit more and work on the CO method ! Drowning is not easy, it sounds appealing because the setting seems so peaceful, but it's really rather complicated...the likelihood of being rescued is also very high.

I know, I'm just pacing back and forth here fighting the urge to do it . That bridge was my first method but I know it won't be peaceful, far from it . The waters cold and dirty and I always said I'd get drunk before I jumped . I think I'm just feeling emotional tonight and when I thought of the bridge it just seemed like the easy way out. I'm just going to cry it out for tonight and hopefully have a clearer head tomorow .

I feel you. If I had anything other than dull kitchen knives at my disposal, I'd do it right now.

I used to live near the sea growing up. One of my fantasies was about walking into the sea under the moonlight and never coming back. I wouldn't do it in real life. I think it's pretty hard to drown unless all the conditions are right (or wrong depending on your perspective). There's something about water that's very soothing to think about. My method is co too btw.
