Joe Rogan on suicide.

  • There's a new bill going through the US Congress that will allow the US government to scan your online messages and emails. We feel it's important for our members to be informed of threats to free speech and the EARN IT Act, if passed into law, it could be used to take down smaller platforms or websites with little or no reason including this website. This is an obvious overreach by the US government that already abuses it power as is and it shouldn't stand.

I watch, and listen to Joe's podcast. Joe Rogan I joke is the Oprah for men. Warning this a lengthy video, and if you can get past the small amount filler talk I found this video help me explain how I feel to other people. Definitely some good talking points. If you have time, or want to kill some time it's worth the watch IMO.

Thank you for sharing, I will watch it later. It's difficult to explain something that's so simple yet so complex.

Joe why don't depressed/suicidal people just go for a run Rogan
The guest on it is the one explaining their SI, they put it in a lot better words and gave alternatives to telling someone to go for a run.

I know. Was referring to another podcast.

Regardless, (and to Joe's credit) he's always been clear that he doesn't understand suicidal urges.

Suicidal people just need to drop some DMT and run hills with their dog. Maybe cook up some elk garnished with psilocybin mushrooms.
What maybe dont help some, could help others...

We are all going down different paths and reaching different points.

Have you tried running with elk, tumbling down hills into psilocybin mushrooms, and eating your dog, while on DMT?

Still...interesting that when the guest is asked that crucial question "could anyone have helped/done anything," he struggles with a clear or concise answer.

As we all know, it's a lonely road to be on.

Yeah because there is no clear answer, as most of SI is internal. But also because everyone's different and it would've been kind of wrong of him to say "this is what you should do" because that may not work for everyone

Good points and Very true.
Being that he is (in a sense) a survivor of sorts, he'd know as well as anyone that there is no singular, solid answer.

Those anti-hairloss and anti-acne drugs cause damage

I was on Propecia twice. Each time, my depression and suicidal ideation dramatically peaked. So not worth it

I like Joe Rogan when he’s not talking about anti SJW stuff. I eventually stopped paying attention to him a while ago cause I got tired of the nonstop complaints about SJWs and political correctness.

It seems like to me there are a lot more people who complain about SJWs and political correctness than there are actual SJWs and people who are super PC. It’s ironic because the anti-PC people are so obsessed with being anti-PC that in their own way they are now politically correct and get outraged over anything they perceive to be PC or identity politics or whatever. There’s an entire cottage industry on YouTube with various channels who’s sole purpose is to complain about identity politics, SJWs, and Political correctness. It’s been around for years now, I’d think people would get bored of this eventually and move onto something else.

I don’t understand these people who claim they hate identity politics so much yet they stew in it and breath in it 24/7. If you hate it so much then simply stop paying attention to it. We have a 24/7 news cycle now, there are so many other things you can pay attention to besides getting outraged that some random person online said there are 60 genders or some thing. I mean really who cares lmao?

Just the other day when I was on YouTube I was recommended a video about Ben Shapiro complaining about Madonna (idk why I was recommended a Ben Shapiro video since I don’t watch him at all nor do I watch right wing content in general). Madonna said or did something, who cares I mean really lol?
