Is heart attack a viable option for killing yourself?

Hello, first of all, I'm new here. You can call me Rin. My native language isn't english so I'll probably have a lot of mistakes, sorry for that.

I have been investigating about suicide methods, but all of them are kind of out of my reach, at least until the quaratine ends.

Is it possible to cause a heart attack intentionally? Would it hurt? Would it be effective? Please let me know your thoughts

I would google this. I don't know of any methods to cause a heart attack but it doesn't mean they don't exist.

I would definitely hurt. Not only is it the contraction and spasm of a muscle, which hurts in any muscle, this muscle is like an electrical conductor for the whole body, so the symptoms spread beyond the heart itself. You can google heart attack symptoms and anecdotal accounts to get an idea of how painful it would be.

I imagine that giving yourself a heart attack would be quite difficult. If you already have a bad heart then maybe it would be easier, but I don't really know what you could do if you have a healthy one. I think if you COULD give yourself one intentionally it would hurt, but maybe not as much as some other things. I haven't ever had a heart attack, so I don't really know how bad the pain actually is, but following @GoodPersonEffed's suggestion to do research on it would be a good idea.

If you do currently have heart disease or any other disorder that effects the heart and blood, I would still recommend trying something more effective and less painful, but if it really is the only option available, then perhaps you could solve all of your problems by eating a greasy bacon burger, a ton of fries, and smoking several packs of cigs in one sitting, but I don't even know if THAT would work. Long story short, there are better ways of CTB than giving yourself a heart attack, so maybe it would be a good idea to wait until the quarantine is over and try one of those.

I would shoot for cardiac arrest rather than a heart attack. Much quicker and less painful. But probably equally impossible.

No it feels like an angel has there hands in your chest massaging your heart healing it.
And the after effects range but most people feel incredibly euphoric and that they're in a bed of cotton wool.
Maybe pop a few Viagras, if you're gonna take the route @Mr2005 suggested :smiling:

I did a lot of research and reading on heart attacks (there are different types of heart failures, some that are really painful, and others that seem instant from the observer)... The stuff I learnt actually lead me back to the stuff in the PPH, so I didnt have to make up my own unreliable method . Theres already at least 2 well known painless methods that causes death by shutting down the heart.
