I’m thinking of doing it on Friday

Obviously I’m very new on SS but honestly I just feel very ready to go... at this point there isn’t really anything stopping me besides the general fear of actually dying and what comes after. But I’m not going to continue living with absolutely no reason to so I guess I better do it sooner or later.
My method is jumping... I’m going from a height that I know for certain is 100 - 150 ft tall into water. It’s all I can do, but I’m gonna try to land on my head if at all possible. I don’t plan on writing a note, however I might send a goodbye text to one friend of mine right before jumping.
I don’t have any property and I have about $2000 from my part time job in my bank account that I assume my parents will get. I’m 18 so I can’t buy alcohol easily but I might be able to sneak some to numb my senses a bit.
Does anyone think I’m missing anything? Any tips to calm my nerves and to help me go through with it would be helpful.

Just make sure it's what you truly want before you attempt. If you change your mind you are always welcome here.
Make sure you research the method. I didn't see anything in the Resource Section but you can use the search function. Maybe someone has posted something you could check out.I'm terrified of heights so I haven't looked into it.
Also... I'm not sure about the goodbye text. If you aren't able to go through with it.
Whatever you decide, I hope you find peace.

It's my understanding that one should try to land horizontally on water to have as much impact on the body as possible.

100-150 ft into water sounds like it could end up in a lifetime of disfigurement and disability for you. My prayers are with you. Best of luck in your path.
I’m pretty worried that it won’t be high enough, but I am in kind of a hurry and don’t really have another option. Should I put something on to weigh myself down, just in case I survive the fall?

I would recommend finding another method. Death by drowning makes me shiver, but everyone has different tolerances. I know you are in pain now, and I don't want you to be in even worse pain.

Well, I chickened out tonight. I talked to my therapist today and it went okay. I wish I had guts... I just want to get it over with.
I understand how you feel. I've failed in my most recent attempts, as well. Hell, I don't even know if I'm going to be able to go through with my next attempt... There's no shame in backing out, though ♡

Perhaps you can take this time to do more research into another method that you feel comfortable with? You always have options, whether it's ctbing or staying. We're here for you, either way.

Thanks... I really didn’t want to risk being paralyzed, I think that’s why I talked myself out of it. I went to my jump location and just couldn’t stop doubting if it was high enough. I might postpone until I move out and can buy SN or something, but that’s gonna be after summer and I’m not sure if I can hold on.

I'm sorry life has brought you to this point. Good luck and hope you find peace.

Smart choice. From what I’ve read, 200 feet onto something hard like concrete is the minimum. Also I think when there’s a sense of urgency about killing yourself, it may not be the right time. I don’t know what drove you to it, but usually that goes away. The long-simmering kind like mine is the signal that it’s time to go.
